End of monarchy in Nepal ,food costs & shortages
First things I would like to say sorry to all my readers that I have not written any thing in the past few days. It has been a very busy time for me and I have just not found the time to write any thing. But hopefully all will be back to normal as they say.
Today though I begin with some news that is of great sadness to me, that is the end of the monarchy in the country of Nepal. Despite the declared intentions to abolish this institution and to make the country a republic through out the elections that brought to power the new government it had been hoped that with the new era in the country a middle road could have been found.
As I have mentioned a few times in the past the institution of monarchy is one that was founded by the Gods themselves. They held this great office during their times on this earth and we all expect that they will return to resume this office when the day comes that they return to this earth.
It is a position that if used in the right way can be a great asset to any nation. For a monarch can give stability to a nation continuity in government and a figure who the people know that they can turn t in times of trouble.
Presidents just can not full fill this role for they are only in office for a few years just a few lines in the history of a nation. While kings are always there to guide and advise.
In many countries of this great world democratically elected governments have found strength from the advice and great experience of their own monarchs. They have played a invaluable role in helping those in elected office to find the right path for the nations they govern.
In some cases a nation has turned to its monarch in a way they never could if they had a president to help them in troubled times when the fabric of democracy seams to be in danger.
So you can see why I have felt sadness at the end of over 200 yrs of kingship in Nepal. But we all pray to the Gods that the people will find a good path to follow once their kings have gone and will build a strong and safe nation for themselves.
As the year goes on we are still seeing the people of the world suffering from food shortages. Even those who live in nations where such things are rare are beginning to feel the problems of growing food prices and the shortage of some of our staple food stuffs.
In the kemetic faith, we have a number of Gods who we pray to for good harvests, in the ancient times the temples held great stocks of grain that the Pharaoh could use in times of shortage. This forward planning was of a great help to the people.
The priests did a great deal to monitor the seasons the flood waters that where needed for good croups. All this was used to good advantage in the management of the land.
But in these modern times when so many have turned their backs on the gods and their teachings we see these shortages and no real government action to bring the situation under control.
With more and more of the land being turned over to the production of bio fuels, more buildings taking over valuable farming land.
The population of the planet which has lead to so many problems with the production of food.
So why can we not say enough is enough we must try and turn things around we must act for the good of the world in general and stop acting in the interest of greater and greater profits.
There is only so long that we can go on in this manner before the demand for food on the ever shrinking production leads to great problems.
Violence on the streets is one result that we have seen already in some nations already, how long will it be before this grows into violence between nations.
We must act know we must return to the times when we put much more importance on the production of food and less on the production of profits.
I am not saying that we can not make a profit. That is not a option for we all have to make a living but we have to balance the amount of profit that we aim to make with the needs of mankind.
Let us hope that the worlds governments will see the error that they have committed & will turn things around before it is to late for us all.
